APANTEC has successfully installed a gamma Criticality Alarm System at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, India. The system consists of three RM1W Display and Control Units, three GI1VI detectors, computer workstations, a 2/3 Logic Programmable PLC, a UPS with batteries, the DORIS Server and Client Software, Power over Ethernet, and an external alarm system. A demonstration was given to the end user and health physics team after installation.

The scope of work includes the Model SD55 2"×2" NaI detector with SDA3E preamplifier/SCA, CIM43 lead shield, CS9G check source, local RAM616 display and control unit, and remote RAM606 display and control unit. The system has a Minimum Detectable Concentration (MDC) of 1×10⁻⁷ µCi/cc of Cs-137 in a 1 mR/hr background.
